The products
Each product solves a distinct problem. Together they cover authoring, delivery, and management of medical XR training end to end.
MAGES Creator is the professional authoring toolkit for medical device companies and institutions that want full creative control — and full IP ownership — over their simulation content.
MAGES SIM Builder is a fully managed development service. Our clinical engineers co-create your simulation from IFU to validation — you get a peer-reviewed, regulation-ready training asset, with no recurring cost.
MAGES Virtual Training Center is the deployment and management layer for your entire simulation programme — including JARIA AI proctoring and instant access to 100+ peer-reviewed simulations in the SIM Library.
CMXR — Our discipline
Computational Medical Extended Reality (CMXR) is an emerging discipline that brings together life sciences and neuroscience with mathematics, engineering, and computer science. Unlike earlier “Clinical XR” or “Medical XR” approaches, CMXR is defined by its integration of computational methods — from neural simulation and computational geometry to computational vision, computer graphics, and deep learning — to solve five specific problems in medicine: training, planning, navigation, rehabilitation, and therapy.
The ORamaVR team are leaders in and co-creators of the CMXR discipline. MAGES SUITE+ is built on these foundations. Read the foundational paper →
Computational Science
Neural simulation, computational geometry, and real-time 3D graphics form the mathematical backbone of every simulation — ensuring fidelity that clinical training demands.
Intelligent Extended Reality
Deep learning models embedded in spatial computing environments enable adaptive, data-driven experiences that respond to each learner’s performance in real time.
Medical Application
From surgical planning and operative navigation to neurorehabilitation and GenAI-assisted authoring — applied across the full spectrum of clinical use cases and validated through peer-reviewed research.
The field is recognised by the FDA’s dedicated Medical Extended Reality Program and underpins emerging IEEE and ISO standards. CMXR is supported by the NSF-funded MIXR research centre (Universities of Maryland and Michigan) and covered by dedicated peer-reviewed publications including the Journal of Medical Extended Reality.
JARIA — AI Proctor
“For thirty years, simulators have worked best when a skilled proctor is present. JARIA is our answer to that.”
